Recorded from February to September 2020, almost entirely during quarantine. These tracks are the result of my momentary escapes from the chaotic and unsettling world into my little home music studio.

Stylistically, I wanted to bring the energy level up a little from previous work, to incorporate more drums and rhythms into my music. There is definitely homage paid to Boards of Canada, Casino Versus Japan, and Ulrich Schnuass, to name just a few, in this collection.

While I frequently struggle to find the "right" melody, or a satisfying rhythm, each of these tracks represents the value of persistence. For me, they are each little victories over self-doubt and depression. Many times I resisted even powering-on the gear for fear of ending that day feeling defeated. But then I'd remember that the key is to try and find the joy in the process of exploration and creation, even on days when those explorations lead nowhere in particular.

All tracks were recorded as one-takes, with no overdubs or computer editing.
